Welcome to the Westminster Academy website and thank you for showing an interest in the work we are doing.
The Academy opened in September 2006 in temporary accommodation at Penfold Street NW1 and moved into our award -winning building at Harrow Road, W2 in September 2007. Our student roll is expanding to accommodate 1175 students aged 11-19, including a sixth form offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
As an International Business and Enterprise Academy, we have an innovative approach towards preparing our students for the 21st Century. The Academy has more than tripled it's examination results at GCSE over the past two years from 23% to 72% of students achieving five or more A* - C grades.
- Admissions for Year 7 in September 2011 will be administered by Westminster City Council and the closing date for applications will be in October 2010.
- Enquiries about sixth form admission in 2010 are welcome and our next sixth form evening is on Friday 4th June from 3.30pm until 5.30pm. Please see the Sixth Form section of this website.
